David Burstall – sad news – a message from our Chairman

It is with great sadness that we have had to say goodbye to David Burstall who died last week at the grand old age of 91yrs. David had been, for many years, such a mainstay of the Friends of Petersfield Heath, providing inspiration and leadership for many projects. His work with the student volunteers from Churcher’s College in laying down new improved paths for the pond walk has benefited the many who tread that way. His determination to keep going was greatly admired and his final gift as Tea Wallah to the Sunday working parties was very much appreciated.

We will miss your steadying oar, David, as you pass over the Bar and will remember the legacy of your many years of help and support that you gave to the community of Petersfield. The Friends Committee send our sincere condolences to David’s family and friends.
