It’s been a great Autumn for fungi!
Thanks to Melanie Oxley for this picture of a Fly Agaric (Amanita muscaria) taken on the Heath near the boardwalk. It prefers prefers acidic soils under pine and birch trees. Be careful – it’s poisonous! If you want to know more, try the The Woodland Trust’s website.
