Eye Spy Nature in March

Spring is yellow! On Petersfield Heath the gorse is blooming, as are shiny lesser celandine.

Spot the different catkins and pussy willow (goat willow) – the male flowers of the many species of Salix (willows and sallows) to be found on the heath. Willows grow near to water and provide important habitat for aphids and moths.
